Having regular dental cleanings is especially important when an individual's health is compromised and/or when maintaining proper oral care becomes difficult. Not only can these situations accelerate the decay process, but they also increase the likelihood of periodontal problems, such as gingivitis (inflamed gums) and periodontal disease (loss of supporting structures around the teeth). Recent studies also point to a relationship between inflammation of gingival tissue and a person's overall health, especially those with diabetes, cardiovascular, or respiratory problems. Thus oral health can directly affect the health of the whole body. Frequent cleanings are recommended for these patients, ideally every 3 - 4 months.

I have 35 years of clinical dental experience. As a mobile dental hygienist I am able to monitor a patient's dental health and aid in preventing dental problems from occurring, or in small problems progressing to more serious ones. From a quality of life perspective, having clean teeth is something that makes everyone feel good and, in the case of compromised patients, can also improve dental functionality (the ability to chew and eat a healthier diet).

I work to provide a peaceful, quiet, and non-stressful environment for my patients. Each patient is treated according to their individual needs, where he or she is most comfortable and with the least amount of discomfort.

Professional affiliations include: California Dental Hygiene Association (CDHA); American Dental Hygiene Association (ADHA).

Referrals: I work in conjunction with 4 dentists that also have mobile practices.
